Storm Update

Please be advised that a significant winter storm is currently hitting Orange County, and it is forecasted to last throughout much of next week, with the most significant impact days being today and tomorrow. Below are some tips to keep you and your family safe:

  • Stay indoors if at all possible.
  • If you must drive, give yourself plenty of time and drive safely (slow down, watch for hazards, check windshield wipers, turn on headlights, and drive defensively).
  • Avoid bodies of water.
  • Be alert for downed power lines, trees, or other objects that may be damaged due to the weather, and stay clear.
  • Stay informed by signing up with AlertOC for emergency alerts, including warnings and evacuation notices.

I want to express my gratitude to Governor Newsom for his leadership and prompt action in declaring a state of emergency for Southern California, allocating more resources and aid for our region. I will continue to keep you apprised as additional information becomes available. Stay safe.

Sincerely,
